Salus

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These terms govern use of Salus, a personal-safety app operated by FINDSALUSLLC. By using the Salus app, or by agreeing to be an emergency contact for a Salus user, you agree to these terms.

The service

Salus lets a user start a Guardian session, during which the app listens on their device for a secret spoken phrase. When it hears an emergency phrase, it texts the user's confirmed emergency contacts with their location. A separate discreet phrase texts one chosen contact asking them to call. Salus can also send an automatic check-in if the phone's battery runs low during a session.

Salus is not an emergency service and does not contact 911. It is a protective layer, not a replacement for calling emergency services. Speech recognition, location, cellular service, and text delivery can fail, and alerts may be delayed or not delivered. In an emergency, call 911.

SMS / text message program

Salus Emergency Contact Alerts sends safety text messages, on behalf of a Salus user, to people that user has chosen as emergency contacts.

Eligibility & acceptable use

You must be 18 or older to use Salus. Only add people as emergency contacts who know you and are willing to receive your alerts. Do not use Salus to send messages to anyone without their consent, to harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimers & liability

Salus is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, FINDSALUSLLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any failure or delay in detecting a phrase or delivering an alert.
